Voluntary scientific year (FWJ)

"Researchers on trial" in the Laser Components and Fibres group

In Lower Saxony, those interested in the STEM fields have the opportunity to get a taste of the everyday life of a scientist for 6 or 12 months after completing their Abitur. During this time, they learn about scientific professions and benefit from close contact with the scientists at the institute. The FWJ in Hannover is coordinated by the Hannover Medical School (MHH).

Colin Böttcher joined the Laser Components and Fibres group on 15 August. For one year he will be part of the group and work on the fabrication of novel optical fibres.

Welcome, Colin.
