Quantum Atom Optics
The interaction between light and atomic samples is used to investigate and manipulate these building block of nature. This allows for deep insights in the quantum mechanics of these systems and allows for the construction of sensors at the quantum limit.
Experiments

- Entangled Spinor Condensates
In this experiment we create entangled atomic ensembles by spin changing collisions. The created entanglement can be used to perform atom interferometry beyond the classical precision limit. More

- Mesoscopic Atom Chip
The aim of the mesoscopic atom chip experiment is to build a fast sequential source for Bose-Einstein-Condensates and to realize a continuous atom laser. More
